Meet Our Teachers
Mrs. Ellie
Hi! I’m Maestra Ellie! Spanish is my first language, and growing up in California with immigrant parents gave me a love for both the language and culture. I have a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Cal State Long Beach and currently work at our local high school as a Special Education Teacher. I love bringing Spanish to life for my Blossom students through games, movement, stories, and lots of fun!
Mrs. Jessica
Hi, I’m Jessica Anderson! My journey as an educator is driven by a love for exploration, safety, and creativity. Today, I teach science, geography, and piano lessons, drawing from a diverse lifetime of experience. Before focusing on these subjects, I worked as an EMT, taught courses for Ski Patrol, and served as a CTE instructor at a local high school. Music has also been a central pillar of my life, and I bring over 30 years of piano playing experience directly to my students. Whether we are studying the physical world, mastering essential survival skills, or learning a beautiful melody, my goal is to make learning deeply practical and inspiring.
Mrs. Gloria
Hi! I'm Gloria, and I am so excited to explore the world of fiber arts with your students! Crafting has been a thread running through my entire life. I learned throughout my childhood and jumped right back into it when my oldest child was born. For the last year, I’ve had the privilege of teaching Advanced Crafts and Fiber Arts at Blossom Enrichment Center.
When I’m not teaching or crafting, I’m at home in the thick of homeschooling my three kids (an 11th, 9th, and 6th grader), and tending to my little hobby homestead.
Mrs. Leilani
Hi! I'm Leilani! I've been a homeschool mom for the past 12 years and have a background in psychology and behavior therapy. I'm also the founder of Mannerly Way, which grew out of my passion for teaching manners, social skills, and all those important little life lessons that help kids navigate the world. In my Life Skills class at Blossom, we learn everything from communication and friendships to everyday practical skills, all while having fun along the way! My hope is that every student leaves class feeling a little more confident, capable, and ready to take on the world around them.
Mrs. Desi
Hi! I’m Desi, and I teach the Creative Writing class here at Blossom! Our class blends critical thinking, debate, and exploring all styles of writing—including journalism. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve been fortunate to share local stories as a reporter for the Tri-Community News Plus paper. One of my favorite parts of teaching is compiling students writing pieces for the Blossom Gazette insert published in the paper. It is incredibly rewarding to watch students light up when they see their hard work published for the entire Tri-Community to read!
